Anirban Khamaru, who's done his M.F.A. (Graphics) from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, and B.F.A. (Painting) from College of Visual Art, Kolkata, paints light-filled abstractions that always seem to be on the verge of representing something recognisable and vibrant. The 35-year-old took part in his first show at Annual Exhibition of College of Visual Art, Kolkata, in 2003.
